U.S. Open Champ to Play at Disney World Classic by TheWiseman

Walt Disney World Resort has announced that two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen and PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year award contender Scott McCarron have accepted sponsor’s exemptions to play in the 2008 Children’s Miracle Network Classic presented by Wal-Mart November 6-9. Janzen is an Orlando, Florida resident who won the U.S. Open in 1993 and 1998, as well as eight total PGA Tour titles. A three-time PGA Tour winner, McCarron has posted a pair of top five finishes this season.

The defending champ is PGA Tour veteran Stephen Ames, who joined the likes of Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Jack Nicklaus, Payne Stewart and Raymond Floyd as winners of the prestigious Disney World tournament.

Tickets for the 2008 Children’s Miracle Network Classic cost $20 for individual rounds and badges for the week are $30.
