Visit Orlando’s Museums & Science Centers by TheWiseman

In addition to world-class theme parks, Orlando is home to a variety of cultural attractions. For example, the Orlando Museum of Art, which is located in beautiful Loch Haven Park, houses a fine collection of American art, African art and art of the ancient Americas. The nearby Orlando Science Center contains more than 200,000 square feet of fun-filled interactive programs and hands-on activities that will appeal to kids and adults alike, as well as the eight-story-tall Dr. Phillips Cinedome, Crosby Observatory and full-service café.

Florida’s only folk art museum, The Mennello Museum of American Folk Art, features the works of renowned folk artist Earl Cunningham and other highly talented folk artists, as well as traveling exhibitions, a museum store and a wonderful outdoor sculpture garden. Watch Central Florida History come alive through fascinating interactive presentations and hands-on exhibits at the Orange County Regional History Center, which lies in downtown Orlando. Other area museums worth visiting include Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, Cornell Fine Arts Museum and The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, all of which are located in nearby Winter Park.
